BLACK BOX forages is a matrix data calculation tool that enables feed manufacturers' technicians to obtain the nutritional value of analysed forages, as well as to edit a nutritional report specific to ruminants or equines.

BLACK BOX forages makes it possible to quickly create customised forage matrices used to formulate diets for ruminants and horses. Several forage profiles are available:

• Grass: silage, wrapped silage, hay, pasture grass

• Corn: whole plant and cob silage

• Sorghum: silage

BLACK BOX forages continuously integrates the latest equations and nutritional criteria from Techna's ruminant and equine research into its matrix calculations: energy systems (energy value, starch, sugars, etc.) and protein systems (digestible protein, etc.), fibre, minerals, etc.

The results are presented in the form of complete and useful nutritional report, highlighting the central role of forage in diets during discussions on the farm.

BLACK BOX forages can be connected to EXTRALAB, the laboratory data management tool. In this way, the results of analyses of a forage sample recorded in EXTRALAB by the technician will be directly accessible in BLACK BOX without having to be re-entered.
